Why Become A US Citizen?

Yesterday during a newspaper interview, I was asked the question what is the main reason that an immigrant would want to become an US citizen. I came up with three reasons why a permanent resident would become a citizen (a fourth reason was provided by the interviewer). I am curious as to how accurate these reasons are and whether there are any other reasons why one would choose to become a US citizen. Please vote below:

Majority of the immigrants file in their citizenship applications mainly to sponsor their family problems. Very few do it so as to exercise their right to vote in the US federal elections. Many permanent residents are comfortable with their PR status and they do not exert themselves to become US Citizens.
